YELLOW AIRLOCK GROMMETS

A flexible seal that provides excellent sealing of the airlock in a lid. The rubber is soft and the longer length provides an excellent seal against the lid compared with normal grommets.

The softness of the grommet and the longer length, allows the airlock to fully seal against the grommet – not just at the one place like other types. The airlock will also push the grommet outwards, sealing against the lid for a tight fitting.

Drill Size

The ideal hole size for this grommet is 13mm. It will be a tight fit getting the grommet in, but will seal a lot better. You can go for a 14mm hole to make it easier to insert the grommet.

Fitting the grommet

The best way to fit the grommet is to squeeze the long end and push it down through the hole. Then, turning the lid upside down, grab the protruding rubber and pull. At the same time, pull the grommet to the side, it will then locate the lid in the section of the upper part. Keep pulling the grommet side to side until the grommet is firmly seated on the lid.
