WAKATU HOPS
Wakatu is a really fine dual purpose hop with a heady mix of floral and citrus characteristics. This all-round brewery performer provides excellent flavour and aroma which selectors describe as fresh citrus to freshly zested lime peel. These unique aroma qualities carry right through from selection to the aroma and flavour profiles in the finished beer.
Origin/History:
Developed by the New Zealand DSIR Research Station in Riwaka™ and released in 1988. Wakatu™ is a triploid variety, with parentage of Mittlefruh and a New Zealand male through open pollination.
